Bridal Shower Express #002: Honeymoon Shower Ideas

If you want to shower the soon to be bride with stuff that can make her honeymoon extra special, then this bridal shower express issue is a MUST read.

Honeymoon bridal showers can be fun and a wee bit naughty, depending on your and bride-to-be's preference. This must be considered at the start of your shower preparation since it will affect on how you will decorate for your shower, not to mention the type of shower games and activities you will prepare.

Decorations for a honeymoon shower should be romantic. This can be as simple as photos of a couple walking along the beach or a setting that shows the couple's honeymoon destination. A poster of the bride-to-be's favorite romantic movie will also be a good addition.

For your shower activities, we think that a guessing game on who owns which bikini will be quite appropriate, not to mention that it will be a good getting to know shower activity. Be sure to advise your friends to bring their favorite bikini when they come to your shower.

Another fun game is a lights out treasure hunt. As the term implies, this will be a blind man's treasure hunt, with the lights off if you're having your shower at night or the main player blindfolded if you're having a day shower. Each "blind" player will be assisted by somebody who will serve as her guide. The guide will do her part by giving out instructions on whether the player is to go left, right, forward and so on.

That takes care of your shower activities, it's time to consider what to serve your guests. One approach to your menu is to serve popular dishes of the couple's honeymoon destination. If they're going on a cruise, then seafood dishes are definitely in. Depending on the type of cruise, you can also serve Chinese or Japanese dishes if the couple is going to an Asian cruise, some Bahaman fish stew if they're going to Bahamas and they like. That should give you lots and interesting food choices.

And to wash everything down, some tropical punch will be appropriate.
